Jesus’ Words
A Treasure of the Spoken Words by Jesus
When you dig into the treasure of the words spoken by Jesus, you have to wonder how is it that we got it so messed up, — because what's written here is just a small portion of that massive treasure! It's amazing how many have jumped on a completely different narrative!
" The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the Gospel."
In Mark 1:15, Jesus was referring to The Gospel of the Kingdom. John the Baptist proclaimed that '-The Kingdom is coming-', Jesus shows up and proclaims that '-The Kingdom has landed-'.
Two things are happening in the Four Gospels, — First of all the Gospel According to the Kingdom of God is being released. Secondly the Gospel According to Jesus Christ is being defined. One is on a personal level, and the other is on a corporate level.
" I say unto you that unless a man is born of Water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit. This is the work of God that you believe in the one whom the Father has sent. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life."
" I say unto you that you must be born again. Many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and will deceive many. But take heed that no one deceives you. For I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father but through me only. I Am the light of the world; anyone who follows Me will not walk in darkness but will walk in the light that gives life."
" I tell you the truth: the Son can do nothing on his own; He does only what He sees His Father doing. What the Father does, the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows Him all that He Himself is doing. Believe in the works I do that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him. The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hands."
" Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God. Follow Me. Where I am there shall my servant also be, and the one that serves Me, — him will My Father honor. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness and the rest will follow. Love one another. This is My commandment that you love one another as I have loved you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask and you will receive, — that your joy may be full. These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world."
" My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. So let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bare fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Now remain in My love. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed!"
" Do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness and all these things shall be added to you."
"Again I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing ? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not more valuable than the birds ? Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat ?’ or ‘What shall we drink ?’ or ‘What shall we wear ?’ For your Heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."
" In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, holy is your name. Your Kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory forever. Amen."
" So come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Be merciful just as your Father also is merciful. Judge not and you shall not be judged. Condemn not and you shall not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Give and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you. Treat others, as you would have them treat you."
"And love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other greater commandment than these. So let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you."
" I am the Good Shepherd; I know My sheep and My sheep know Me. I lay down My life for the sheep. My sheep hear My voice, and they follow Me. I give unto them eternal life and they will never perish; neither will any man pluck them out of My hand. And this is the will of God, that I should not lose even one of all those He has given Me."
" My peace I give to you! As the Father has sent Me, I am sending you. It has been given to you to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven. As you go, preach, saying, ‘The Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, and cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give."
" Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. It is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom."
