So You Wanna Be A King

What if adversity, afflictions, trials, tribulations and persecutions were given to you by God Himself ?

What if they were your teachers?  What if the wilderness that you are living in . . . is right where you need to be?  And that the wilderness is there to teach you, mold you, break you, prepare you, and to shape you into the great man that God has ordained you to be!  What if you’re actually running from the exact situation, persecution, affliction, and trials that are meant to define your life?  As you are running and scratching your head . . . your spiritual understanding has not connected with the one fact that God never makes it easy for any of us to walk as a king in His Kingdom!   The spiritual dynamics are too vast!  The hammer and chisel will have its way!

Isaiah 30:20-21  -  And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not your teachers be removed into a corner any more, but your eyes shall see your teachers:  And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, this is the way, walk you in it.  That word could very well be the sound of a chisel hitting the rock.

Zechariah 13:9  -  And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them:  I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

Everyone will have their moment where they will blame, accuse, and at times get angry with God.  And as they are voicing their opinions, and gesturing like some mad Italian, God tunes up that relationship as he attempts to dial us into more of his likeness.  But will you be able to stand as he gives you the bread of adversity to eat, and the water of affliction to drink.  And when he tells you that these two are your teachers meant to teach you, will you fold up like some cheap tent as it messes up your camp or will you go in the way that you should go?

Will you be able to stand like Moses stood when God directs you into a wilderness to rearrange your dome!  And will you be able to stand like Moses the second time as he sends you back into that same wilderness to rearrange the domes of other people.  Will you be able to stand like David whom Samuel anointed as King, while Saul was still King . . . sending David deeper in the wilderness as he now runs for his life from Saul!

Daniel 11:33-35  -  Those who are wise will instruct many, though for a time they will fall by the sword or be burned, captured or plundered.  When they fall, they will receive a little help, many who are not sincere will join them.  Some wise will stumble, so that they may be refined, purified and made spotless until the time of the end, because it is still to come at the appointed time.

2 Timothy 3:12-13  -  Yes, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.  But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

John 15:17-21  -  These things I command you, that you love one another.  If the world hates you, you know that it hated me first before it hated you.  If you were of the world, then the world would love his own: but because you are not of the world, but that I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.  Remember the word that I said unto you, the servant is not greater than his lord.  If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.  But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.

If you are actually running from the persecutions, afflictions, trials and tribulations that are meant to define you, — then you're running from not understanding that God is actually speaking to you.

John 16:1-4  -  Jesus says, these things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.  They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time comes, that whosoever kills you will think that he does God service.  And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.  But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them.  And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.

Jeremiah 12:5  -  If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, then how can you contend with horses?  And if in the land of peace, in which you trusted, they wearied you, then how will you do in the jungles of the Jordan?

-

This word in Jeremiah is a Spiritual Word, and it is to be understood Spiritually.

The horses represent spiritual things, and the water of the Jordan River also represents spiritual things, God says, you stumble and fall on open ground whereby they have wearied you in the natural, what will you do in the spiritual when you find yourself in the thick of the Jordan-?   How can you contend with the spiritual-?   If in the land of peace, where you trust in, has wearied you, how will you do when the Jordan swells up-?   If the natural things of life are making you weary, then how can you ever contend with the spiritual things that war against the spirit of your soul-?
